No blower, no extension lead, no hum outside the showroom door.
How they work
A sealed polyurethane envelope filled with helium, held on a tether. There is no internal structure and no power source. The gas does all the work.
You lose about one percent of the helium a day, which means topping off every three to seven days rather than running a fan every hour. Over a month that is a few dollars of gas against a month of electricity and a fan that has to keep working.
Polyurethane, not PVC
Budget advertising balloons are PVC, which stiffens, keeps its folding creases and goes brittle in ultraviolet light.
Ours are polyurethane. It stays flexible, folds and re-inflates without scarring, and handles sun far better. It costs more to manufacture and it is the reason a fourteen-year-old balloon is a normal thing for us to hear about.
Setup and takedown
The first inflation takes some reading, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. After the first time it is about ten minutes and one person.
It deflates, folds and stores flat in the box it shipped in. That is what makes it practical for seasonal use in a way an air dancer with a dead blower never is.
